Political action committee (pac)

Contribute to the Election of Democrats and Strengthen the Williamson County Democratic Party
Who We Are
The Sun City Democrats Political Action Committee (PAC) is now a standing committee of the Sun City Democrats Club. The PAC, with the approval of our Club Board, contributes funds it raises to Democratic candidates and the Democratic Party. This is the only PAC affiliated with the Sun City Democrats Club. Democrats have elected several candidates in parts of the County and elected Sheriff Gleason, but most of our elected officials are still Republicans. Our mission is to change that. Mission Statement The Sun City Democrats PAC exists to raise money to support Democratic candidates in and for Williamson County and to strengthen the Williamson County Democratic Party. The primary purpose of our PAC is to Turn Williamson County Blue! How Can You Help? Please contribute to the Sun City Democrats PAC and help us Turn Williamson County Blue. We appreciate your support at any level; a single contribution is great, even better is a monthly donation through Act Blue. We suggest an annual donation of $100 ($200 per couple), or $10 a month ($20 per couple), but we welcome whatever you can do to help get this done! |
How the Money is Used
In keeping with the PAC's mission statement, the PAC intends to keep the major share of contributions to support the Williamson County Democratic Party and Democratic candidates standing for election in and for Williamson County. The PAC will not contribute to any candidates in a contested primary election. PAC Contact Information Mailing Address

pac makes additional contribution to wcdp

In the early part of May, our Political Action Committee met with Kim Gilby, Chair, and Alison Heinrich of the Williamson County Democratic Party to review a detailed plan for the County-wide Coordinated Campaign. The purpose of the meeting was to ensure that YOUR donations to our PAC would be used wisely.
The PAC convened after the meeting and voted to recommend to the Club's Board of Directors that it authorize an additional $15,000 to WCDP to be used for the 2022 Coordinated Campaign, leaving $5,000 in the PAC account FOR NOW. It also pledged that, as we raise more money, we will recommend additional contributions to state-wide runoff victors and local candidates, staying true to our goal of turning WILCO Blue.
UPDATE: NEW PAC DISBURSEMENTS
Now that the May run-offs are over, our PAC recommended and our Board approved $2,000 contributions to both Mike Collier, candidate for Lt. Governor, and Rochelle Garza, running for Attorney General. Additional contributions will be forthcoming as the Committee looks at Williamson County races. These additions reflect the results of a member survey of priorities for contributions expenditures.
